American Burger with Espresso Twist
- 3 pounds ground chuck
- 1 1/2 Tsp . sea salt
- 1 Tsp . freshly ground black pepper
- 2 Tsp . Tastealotta Dark Espresso Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 large egg
- To serve
- 8 slices bacon cooked
- 8 slices American cheese
- 1 - 2 large onions sliced into rings
- 1 Tsp . Tastealotta Garlic Oil
- 8 onion rolls halved
- 2 slices large tomatoes
- 8 leaves large lettuce
In a medium bowl, mix ground chuck, salt, pepper, Tastealotta Dark Espresso Balsamic Vinegar and egg. Form mixture into 8 equally sized patties and set aside.
Place the onion rings in a grill basket and grill until golden brown.
Remove to a shallow bowl, toss with Tastealotta Garlic Oil and set aside.
Grill patties about 4 minutes per side for medium or 5 minutes for well done.
Place bacon and cheese atop each burger and grill for 1 more minute.
Remove patties from grill and place on a wire rack.
Place buns on grill cut side down and grill for about 1 minute to add golden grill marks.
Place a burger on bottom half of each roll and top with onions, tomato and lettuce.
