Caputo Ricotta Cheese Coffee Cake
A quick and easy coffee cake - starting with a yellow box cake mix!
- 18 ounce yellow cake mix no pudding in the mix
- 3 eggs or quantity specified by cake mix
- 1/3 cup Tastealotta Savory Butter Olive Oil or quantity of oil specified by cake mix
- 15 ounces Caputo ricotta cheese well drained
- 1 Tsp . vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup sugar
- cinnamon sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Mix cake according to directions on cake mix box and pour batter into prepared pan.
Mix ricotta cheese, vanilla and sugar until well blended.
Place by spoonful's on top of batter as close together and as evenly as possible.
Bake for 25 minutes and then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Continue to bake until toothpick comes out clean – approximately 15-20 minutes.
The ricotta will be on the bottom and a lovely moist cake on top.
