Blood Orange French Toast
A bright spring change-up to regular French toast!
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 10 - 12 slices thick bread
- 1/4 cup Tastealotta Blood Orange EVOO divided
Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl, add 1 tablespoon of the Tastealotta Blood Orange EVOO and beat with a fork until eggs are completely incorporated and mixture is smooth.
Beat in milk.
Over medium-low heat, heat griddle or skillet coated with Tastealotta Blood Orange EVOO.
Place the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl, allowing slices to soak up egg mixture for a few seconds.
Carefully turn to coat the other side.
Transfer the bread slices to the griddle or skillet, heating slowly until the bottom is golden brown.
Turn and brown the other side.
Re-coat the pan with Tastealotta Blood Orange EVOO after each batch.
